The Post Graduate Department of GVM’s GGPR College of Commerce & Economics- Farmagudi in association with Computer Society of India, Goa Chapter organized a Two Day State Level Seminar on “Advanced IT Applications for Business” on 29th and 30th September, 2014. The aim of the seminar was to give a practical insight to the IT subject in the first semester of the M.Com. course of the Goa University titled ““Advanced IT Applications for Business”. The seminar was attended by faculty and students of the M.Com. Course in Goa. The Principal of the college Shri. P.M. Bhende welcomed the participating colleges and addressed the gathering. The Chief Guest for the Innaugural Function was Shri Milind Anvekar , Vice President, Open Destination – Panjim.
The resource persons for the various technical session included Shri. Kaustub Kamat, Asst. Professor Department of Commerce, Goa University; Shri. Vithal Sukhtankar, Associate Prof, Goa Institute of Management Studies; Shri. Venkatesh Prabhu, Proprietor, Thyway Creation –Mapusa; Shri.Anay Kamat, Architect/ Development Head at 3QILabs India; Shri Prajyot Mainkar, Director – Androcid – Panaji; and Shri. Jaywant Priolkar, Managing Director, Progen ERP- Ponda.
The chief guest for the Valedictory Function was Shri. Ramrao Wagh, Associate Professor , Department of Computer Science & Chairman of CSI, Goa Chapter. The seminar was a very interactive one. The participating colleges were happy with way the seminar was conducted and gave a positive feedback during the valedictory function. The seminar concluded with the Vote of Thanks given by the seminar co-ordinator Mr. Sameer Patil.
